Event Policies

Athletic Event Policies

CGHS Athletics will limit gate and sideline access and follow a clear bag policy for varsity football games for the 2024-25 season.

Tobacco and alcohol are prohibited on all Center Grove campuses.
Pets are not allowed on school grounds.
No outside drinks or food may be brought into Skillman Stadium.
Children under Grade 6 should be accompanied by a parent/guardian, monitored, and not allowed to bring footballs or other outside sports equipment into Skillman Stadium.
Once you present your ticket and enter Skillman Stadium, you will not be permitted to leave and return without purchasing another ticket.
Seats are reserved in the upper portion of the center section of Skillman Stadium (Sections A and B, Rows M-V, Seats 1-25).
- Reserved seat holders will be required to show proof of purchase to access their seats.

Clear Bag Policy

CGHS will follow a clear bag policy at the Skillman Football Stadium for the 2024-25 season.

CGHS Football Parking

All ticket holders must use the north and southwest gates to enter Skillman Stadium. No fans will be allowed via the southeast gate (see map below).

Baseball Fields

Location: On the campus of Center Grove High School (2717 South Morgantown Road, Greenwood)
The fields are located southeast of the high school. From Morgantown Road south of the high school, turn east onto Pennington Road. Fields are on the south side of Pennington, just south of Skillman Stadium.

Ray Skillman Football Stadium & Carol S. Tumey Track

Main entrance to the stadium is east side of the high school. Take Stones Crossing Road east and turn south onto Trojan Lane.

Natatorium

FACILITY RENTAL

Center Grove Schools allows the rental of many of our facilities by local non-profit groups or organizations that serve Center Grove students or have a majority of their membership residing within White River Township and for-profit groups or organizations that are based in White River Township. Prospective renters must apply online via ML Schedules.

Student Activity Center

Size: 59,500 Square Feet
Facility: Multi-purpose floor with 4 courts; 200-meter track; elevated walking track
Location: Inside Center Grove High School (2717 South Morgantown Road, Greenwood)
The Student Activity Center is on the south side of the high school. Access is available via Door 8 or Door 9 (Hall of Excellence).

Vandermeer Gymnasium

Vandermeer (Vandy) Gymnasium is on the southeast side of the high school. Take Stones Crossing Road east and turn south onto Trojan Lane. Access is available via Door 9 (Hall of Excellence).

West Gymnasium

Capacity: 1,200
Courts: 1
Location: On the campus of Center Grove High School (2717 South Morgantown Road, Greenwood)
The West Gym is located southwest corner of the high school. From Morgantown Road south of Stones Crossing, take the second entrance into the parking lot.
Access is available via Door 3.

Weight Room

Capacity: 7,639 Square Feet
Location: Inside Center Grove High School (2717 South Morgantown Road, Greenwood)
The Weight Room is on the north side of the Student Activity Center.

ATHLETIC FORMS

PHYSICAL INFORMATION FOR 2025 - 2026

For the 2025-2026 school year, ALL athletes will be required to electronically submit their IHSAA Pre-participation Physical Examination, Pg. 3, and electronic Forms (Random Drug Testing form (High School Freshmen & High School transfers ONLY), Concussion Sudden Cardiac Arrest form, Consent to Treat form, FERPA form, HIPPA form) to Rankonesport.com. Any physical form dated prior to 4/1/25 will not be counted as a valid physical for the school year 2025-2026 at Center Grove School Corporation. Physicals will not be accepted via Email or In-Person, in the Athletic Office or the Athletic Trainers Offices.

If a physical is marked as anything besides “Cleared for all sports without Restrictions,” the physical will not be valid until a doctor's note is submitted and clears the athlete for the aforementioned reason.

Natatorium (Lap Swim)

LAP SWIM SCHEDULE/COST

SCHEDULE

WINTER COMMUNITY LAP SWIM PASS (NOTE: lap swim is Tuesday/Thursday)

Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:00-8:15p
Dates for pass: January 13 - March 19
The pricing is $45 and $35 for discount pass (senior, military, first responder).

**SPECIAL NOTE: This is a busy time in the schools' swim team schedule. Due to several swim meets, the CG COMMUNITY LAP SWIM schedule will be inconsistent.

There will be NO COMMUNITY LAP SWIM on January 15, January 20, February 5, February 12, February 19, and March 12, due to HS Swim meets.

Regular Pass: $45
Discounted Pass: $35 for seniors, military, first responders
No charge for CG staff & Silver Card holders
- If you are eligible for a free swim pass, you do not need to purchase a pass below.
- Please expect to show your staff ID or Silver Card to the staff member present and sign in each time you participate in lap swim.

PARKING & ENTRANCE

Use Door 9 (Hall of Excellence) to enter the building - follow the first hallway to your left and proceed to the end and turn right. Proceed down the hall and the pool will be on your left.
Parking is available in the teacher/student lots.
Locker Room access will be available until 15 minutes post lap swim hours.

Please sign in and show your pass card to the supervisor or lifeguard upon entering the pool. Patrons will need to sign a waiver of liability on their first night. The waiver will be good for one calendar year.

LAP SWIMMING GUIDELINES

Lap lanes are intended for lap swimming only. Other water exercises should not be performed in the lane when lap swimmers are present in the lane or waiting for a lane.
Lap lanes are first come - first serve. During peak usage, it will become necessary for you to split lanes or circle swim with other swimmers.
When entering a lane with other swimmers, notify them that you will be joining the lane.
Please wait until other swimmers have pushed off before entering the water. Do not jump, dive, or push into oncoming swimmers.
Always swim complete laps of the pool. Avoid stopping in the middle of the lane for any reason; this can interfere with others’ progress and cause collisions.
Be aware of your space in the lane and the orientation of others.
Slower swimmers should wait to push off the wall until faster swimmers have passed.
If you have to stop for any reason, stand in the corner of the lane so that other swimmers have ample room for turns.
The supervisor or lifeguard may ask you to switch lanes. Please accommodate our requests.
Enjoy your workout! When we work together, lap swimming can be a wonderful experience for all levels of fitness.

CIRCLE SWIMMING

Circle Swimming is utilized to accommodate three or more swimmers using the whole lane; down and back on the right side of the lane.

Circle Swimming is done by swimming in a counterclockwise direction within the lane - similar to cars on a road. Keep to the right at all times.

Look at the speed of the swimmers in the lanes and select a lane that is most appropriate for you. Notify the lap swimmers you would like to join the lane.

To avoid collisions, only begin swimming when the other swimmers in the lane have been made aware of your presence.

If you need to pass in your lane, move up to the swimmer and tap his/her foot. A tap is an indication of your presence and your want to pass. A pass must be initiated in time to overtake the slower swimmer before the wall to avoid a potential collision at the wall.

The Center Grove High School Trojan Pride Wall (outside Door 9) honors our Trojan community's graduates, teams, sponsors, and family members. If you would like to apply to place a name on the wall, an application must be completed with the following considerations:

CRITERIA

The Center Grove High School Athletic Hall of Fame includes photos of teams and individual athletes who have earned the highest levels of accomplishments in their respective sports.

The five (5) criteria for a Center Grove student-athlete to be selected as a member of the Athletic Department Hall of Fame are:

An Indiana High School Athletic Association Mental Attitude Award winner, or,
Selected 1^st Team All State by the Associated Press, United Press International, or the IHSAA recognized coaches association for that sport, or,

The Jon Zwitt Trojan Service Awards honor deserving people within the Center Grove community for their outstanding effort and support of Center Grove Athletics. It was named in 2021 in honor of Jon Zwitt who served for 25 years as CGHS's athletic director.
